Revive Group WellCare - WellCare is for everyone

Revive Group's WellCare suite of programs and services can positively impact every member of a population supporting those who are not focused on their health status through to those who consider themselves very healthy. Our experience has shown that our WellCare on-line program provides resources that even the most health-focused member and trained athlete will find beneficial. The following are a few examples:

  • A member training for a marathon several days a week is typically in great aerobic condition but that alone does not exempt a member from conditions such as high blood pressures and high cholesterol. Revive Group's on-line Healthy Living Programs™ such as Stress Relief, Healthy Aging, Healthy Heart and Healthier Diet can build awareness of other aspects of lifestyle behaviour that could be negatively impacting their overall health and athletic performance.
  • The Healthy Living Programs™ have a custom program feature allowing the member to design a program based on their individual needs and interests such as dealing with the pain from arthritis or learning how to cook healthy meals for an entire family.
  • One of the tools within each Healthy Living Program™ is an online journal to allow each to track their behavioural activities. Specifically, the exercise journal allows a member to record their activities and print them for review and record. The Progress Tracker provides journals for weight, nutrition, stress and smoking.
  • Our Medical Resource Centre has an encyclopedic health database that an athlete in training could reference regarding sport injuries treatment, surgeries and rehabilitation. Athletes are often very in-tune with the physiology of their systems, muscles and joints and will find this resource quite fascinating. The content provides detailed medical illustrations and descriptions for diseases, injury, surgery, tests and symptoms for issues ranging from a sprained ankle to knee joint replacements.
  • Members who are health focused and athletic often take supplements. The resource centre has a vast encyclopedic database providing comprehensive information on pharmaceuticals, herbal and vitamin supplements. In addition to providing descriptions and benefits of the supplement, contraindications, herbal drug interactions, and alternative therapies are also provided.
  • WellCare online can provide athletes with articles on cross training and recommend new activities for the health enthusiastic to try, for example Yoga, Tai Chi and Pilates. The health and fitness directory allows users to search for their local class or practitioner in Australia.
