MANAGING DIRECTOR
REVIVE GROUP
The Revive Group is the product of Louise Stewart's lifelong dream to start her own business and combine it with her two great passions – health and technology.
After moving to Western Australia from Papua New Guinea, Louise Stewart got her first insight in to the workings of an entrepreneur.
Based in Port Hedland, Kalgoorlie and Perth during her schooling years; Stewart's youth was privy to the insights of a rapidly growing family business in the mining industry. Influenced by her family's entrepreneurial flair, Stewart demonstrated an aptitude for business from a young age by winning the Young Achievers Australia national award for the creation of the best business venture.
After finishing university and working for a high profile advertising agency Stewart recognized that the internet and technology were the way of the future and traveled overseas for business inspiration and to develop her skills – only briefly deterred by selling hot dogs and ice creams at sporting matches in the United States. Studying for a further four months in Paris; Stewart decided to finally settle in 1998 at Axicom in London. This decision led Stewart to find her niche in technology and set the foundations for establishing her own business.
After returning to Australia in 2001 and undertaking roles at large global technology companies such as Experian Asia Pacific and Premiere Global Services, Louise Stewart launched Revive Group (www.revivegroup.com.au) in June 2004.
The Revive Group is a business borne out of Stewart's frustration in finding good healthcare providers and the belief that wellness is a result of managing all aspects of your lifestyle.
Providing online personal health management, Revive Group is an innovative health and wellness company providing an online health and fitness directory to a broad range of healthcare services. Stewart has developed wellness travel packages which can be booked online, capitalizing on the worldwide growth in wellness tourism and has recently signed an agreement with Matria Healthcare, the US market leader in health enhancement programs, to give Australians access to Matria Healthcare's online health and wellness programs.
Today, Louise Stewart manages a national operation requiring her to work some of the time from Queensland and New South Wales and the remainder from Western Australia. She is as actively involved in running marathons as she is in lobbying the Federal Government for more focus on long–term health initiatives based on prevention for an aging population. Stewart believes that the government should place the onus on the individual and reward those that take positive action and employers, health funds and healthcare providers should be encouraged to offer preventative health programs like those offered by the Revive Group.
